Applying the 9 basic requirements for meaningful and ethical child participation during COVID-19

Children’s participation is about having the opportunity to express views, having these views taken seriously and having the opportunity to influence decision making. It is the informed and willing involvement of children in any matter concerning them directly or indirectly. This includes children of different ages, genders and abilities and those children most marginalized in society. Children’s civil rights guide our ways of working and cut across the full spectrum of development and humanitarian contexts.
